Remembering Sylvie Rosenthal (1979-2025)

As a young queer woodworker there weren’t that many people in the field of woodworking I saw myself in. Sylvie was a badass and I am so grateful to her to pave the way for artists like me. I saw her at the ‘Transformation 12: Contemporary Works in Wood’ at Contemporary Craft a few weeks before she passed. She will be missed very dearly. You can read her full obituary here as many have been able to write more poetically than I.
